Part of the school district’s March 2014 bond referendum, the aquatics center is a collaborative project between CSD and the YMCA. The building will be owned and maintained by the school district, while the YMCA will operate the facility as a full-service aquatics and fitness center. The two organizations believe the facility will have an immediate impact on the overall health and wellness of the community.
Once complete, the school district will have scheduling priority over the facility as it will begin teaching swimming lessons as part of elementary school physical education classes in fall 2016. Further, the Clover High School swim team will have priority access for practice and competitions.
Construction is expected to be complete in August 2016.
