CLOVER, S.C. – Clover High School seniors Breanna Clemmer, Seth Hurst, Anna Pettus and Sarah Reid signed National Letters of Intent during a signing ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.
Pettus, girl’s swimming, and Reid, girl’s golf, will attend Converse College, while Clemmer, bowling, and Hurst, boy’s swimming, will attend McKendree University and Lenoir Rhyne, respectively.
Clemmer will take the longest journey, as she will continue her education at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. She is the daughter of Jeannie Haney and the granddaughter of James and Barbara Clemmer and has registered nine perfect games and numerous medals throughout her bowling career.
A four-year letter winner for the Blue Eagles, Hurst will head to Lenoir Rhyne in Hickory, N.C. to continue his education and compete in the pool. He qualified twice for the state swim meet while excelling in the breaststroke. Seth is the son of Rhett and Teresa Hurst.
The captain of the girl’s swim team this past season, Anna Pettus will attend Converse College in Spartanburg next year. Pettus led the Blue Eagles in points earned during her senior season while also being a member of the National Honor Society and receiving All-Academic accolades. She is the daughter of Tommy and Mary Pettus.
Sarah Reid will join the women’s golf program at Converse College in the fall. She has been a member of the CHS golf team all four years and her greatest memory is getting the opportunity to compete in the upper-state tournament this season. Reid is the daughter of Jon and Denise Reid.
